I use a orchard ladder quite often for fruit trees, and a lot for hedges!!! like everyone there is a place for them.

I love mine,its a 3.6 m job,fantastic bit of kit for the jobs you mention,just so stable.:thumbup1:

Love my orchard ladder although it can get a bit wobbly with my fat ass at the top. Wouldn't like tackling some of the hedges I've done without it. I also use a ladder once in a blue moon to get up a tree when I'm feeling particualrly lazy or it's a difficult tree to access. Grandad YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

Use an orchard ladder for hedges and fruit trees all the time. Don't know how I did them before getting the orchard ladder. Whats wrong with using a ladder to access a tall tree, its much quicker and saves loads of energy.

Ladders are for pussys so consider me a pussy haha i got 45ft ladders very nice :001_tt2:

If you use a 45ft ladder, you're no pussy mate, jeez I don't think I'd like that!

Glad to hear I haven't offended by my use of the "L" word as a positive.

I have been known to use ladders on rare occasions just because it was there but generally i dont like em much, too wobbly and dangerous imo. Get me tied in to the tree and swinging around on my rope any day over the ladders. Having said that, they can be useful in the right setting.
