First day with the new truck....great!

Picked up our truck yesterday with the new custom back end and used it for the first time today. It's brilliant. We used to hand ball the logs off but now it's just a case of pulling a lever and pressing a button. Takes seconds and we can tip 1,2 or 3 loads independently or all together. What an improvement. We managed to do 9 deliveries between 9:30 and 13:30 today. If anyone has a Dyna and wants a back end building let me know and i can point you in the right direction.

1.2 cube in each bay. That fills them to the level you can see in the photo. Don't really want to fill them any further as you'd be well overweight and the wood could jam inside the bays.

The original truck is completely unmodified too. The unit in the back makes use of the existing tie down 'u' bolts.

thats a nice truck.. nice and narrow for deliverys compared to a transit.. i did exactly same thing with my old transit, you can leave all the log orders to a sat and bash them all out in a day... i've done as many as 20 in one day... and thats not all local stuff... dunno how you load it but i had a 1.3m3 bucket made thats just bit narrower than back of truck...3 or 4 buckets tipped in each bay from the rear in less than a min also makes a big diff to delivery times...

what i love is i can load up on a friday nite, one transit holds 3 loads and the other 4.... so come sat morn i can have 7 loads out sometimes in an hour depending where there going...

Yeah it's a really quick way of doing it. We do all of our deliveries on a Saturday and sometimes a Friday too if we've got a lot on. It's definately the way to do it. Can make good money then and it's worth paying someone else to do it.

We load it up with a 1.2 cube bucket so filling is quick.

The Dyna is a massive improvement on the Cabstar but I don't know if the Cabstar was as it should be. It was second hand and 7 years old had done at least 100,000 miles so it's not a fair comparison until I drive a brand new one. I love the Dyna though. Pretty cheap for what you get. It's comfy, quiet, nippy and looks smart. Also the clutch is MUCH lighter. Bit naff on fuel at 22 miles to the gallon but hey......you can't have everything!

Yes it is lovely and narrow. Not found a driveway I can't get down yet.
