Rope Wrench feedback

Recommended Posts

So we went for a play in this 75ft Cedar, i reckon from the ground to the top it took around 1min using srt to get up to the top, good fun and had a few blasts around the crown on a quite open side, great fun had by all and the temp didnt effect any of us much. Big respect to a young lad Rory who dan brought along he's only 15 and hadnt climbed much of anything, got all the way to the top with signs of being a superb climber.

Ah I've been reading it about seven wks now and I think I've picked up a fair bit. I just want to know what people would recommend as a good, possibly cheap start point?

Hello,

You'll probably have most the kit already, so a Wrench and pantin might be your only purchases you require. I use a few Dmm revolvers and slings for re-directs but until you have the funds natural crotches will suffice.

You can see in the video myslef and Dan very rarely use hand ascenders, a bit of practice on body posture goes along way.

If your thinking of going for it just do it immerse yourself in the change over. You will work different sets of muscles compared to Drt, i find my core is used considerably more and its helped me shift about half a stone since the start of this year.

Funny you should talk about wait loss with the rw cuz i reckon iv lost 10lb since july on it. You really work your core and feel alot better for it.The fatigue you gain in different muscles is nothing compared to how much longer you can keep climbing and without arm cramps. Its a real massive change but a very much rewarding one. Thanks for enlightning us to srt Ian(or me anyway)

Stay Safe
