I used to do this every weekend for a bit of pratice. I got to know the farmer and his wife (not very well mind but used to say hello).In my eye's it all depends on how you approach them.

I agree my syntax friend. But Climbing a tree in a woodland or a forest is not disrespect. Indeed you point out it is the property to which respect is owed, not the owner of the property or his right to it. So as long as we show due respect off we go. If climbing a tree is disrespectful to trees, then maybe your in the wrong game. Personally I cant think of any greater respect for a tree then to get up in it's crown and say "how do?"

legally you can go pretty much anywhere in scotland n nobody can say anything as long as you dont make a mess.
