superwinch husky are good winches, slow retrieval rate but line speed barely changes whether it has no load or 3.5 ton on. i got one under the rear of my truck for pulling chipper into trailer. had a couple of competition spec warn winches but found them to be very fragile in terms of castings breaking

if your looking at using it ever now and then, i`d go for a worn winch. but if your going to use it alot then look at a hydraulic one...

electric warn, around 12.000lb-most powerfull for that sized truck without being stupid!

get a fabricator to make you up a mounting plate, or aftermarket winch bullbar

but you get what you pay for eh

 

If you are the scrotes that nicked my winch of the front of my disco you get what you don’t pay for.

 

If you fit one a couple of strategic welds are a good idea.
