Hi guys

ive got the GX620 honda engine in a camon chipper and it has stopped charging the battery i purchased a new battery ( thinking it was goosed) but only lasted a day and dead.

Does anyone know what charges the battery on these engines as there does not seem to be a alternator/dynamo system.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

The regulator / rectifier is just below the ign switch if the engine has the ign switch attached to it. Photo is of TW125 with the same engine. The unit corrodes badly on the back and the terminals break. The unit is of poor quality new and only just provides enough power to charge the battery. Honda part number H31710-ZJ1-812. Call if you need any more help.

Regards

Mike

Hi mate,

I have a different one its alot bigger and bolted to the underside of the chipper.

It starts fine just tried it with battery charged from home. And its been fine for years just when i changed the engine out i put it back 90% correct i think i mixed the charge wire up i could really do with a pic of where the wires from the engine connect up if you have one.
