A couple you might enjoy.

1987 Delivered load of cordwood to customer 2 days later hurricane hits week later phoned because he hadn't paid, Was told that there was wood laying everywhere and offered half the money. Told him thats not acceptable

he says better collect the wood then, Went round to collect, His neighbour

sticks her head out of window can you deliver me some seasoned wood.

Sold his wood to her later heard that he was trying to burn green oak he'd sawn up on the roadside.

Guess what we refused to deal with him again.

Custmer phones to order logs, Is it cheaper if its longer, not split or cash

wife told him -If we keep it here and burn them for you theres no charge.

Been supplying him for the last 20 years no problem!

I once had a guy come out from a neighbouring house with a hoover, just a normal carpet hoover and he started hoovering the sawdust up off his lawn!!!!!!!!!!!!

His lawn was very nice, but even so.

I love the British eccentric .

after tsking down 3 Sycamore's and starting to rake up the customer comes out and asks what we are going the wood chip , i explained that it would go back to the yard to be tipped with the other 10 or so tons of chip . The customer replied "would you charge to leave it here " no i said , so the customer asks me to tip it just down at the end of the drive right beside the bed's and lawn .

So of we went and tipped a mog load o chip where we were asked to dump it , we then go back and finnish of clearing up and packing the kit away . just as we are about to leave (at about half 5 ) i ring the door bell , i then explain to the customer that we are dont and the invoice will folow in the next couple days . The customer looks at me in shock and asks why i have not spread the chip on all of the boarders and raked it out !!!! surely that means you have not finnished , do i get some money off !!!!!!

i explained that the request was to tip the chip off and at no point were we asked to spread roughly 3 tons of chip and that should it still be expected then it would be an adition to the job and that it would be charged at an hourly rate , hence the reply i got from the cutomer was Hmmmmm i guess i will have to get my husbad charles to do it .
