we've noticed that the first lot of vented bags and vented barrow bags we ordered about 3 -4 years ago were very good quality with plenty of webbing around and good stitching, the last lot we had last year , the quality is v.poor with alot failing already after only 1 load, i complained but this complaint given over the phone and at apf in person fell on deaf ears to the seller - a well known bag supplier who i am not know dealing with.- with only a " well i dont think we have compromised the quality , just used another firm to make the bags" and wont give any refund or discount on other products, when we use them and give alot of money! - wont be using again!

As a slight aside how are you boys filling barrow bags ?. Filling direct from the processor would mean a new bag every few minutes. I processed in bulk of into meter bags. So I am hand filling barrow bags at present.

Thanks for the replies, can anyone recommend a supplier they've had good experience with regarding bag quality etc.?

Think I got mine for here:

Use green 1 cu m ones and white barrow bags. Some of the green ones have done three trips so far and are holding up ok. Green looks less of an eyefull if seasoning outside.

Our came from bag supplies as above , moved a few yesterday and they're def not gonna last , logs punching holes in the sides and holes in the base with minimal dragging

The vented sections seem to be holding up better than the rest of the bag

if any wanted some of our vented barrow bags, which are the better quality ones, we still have about 20 unused ones if anybody wants them collected from our yard - as we have got about 100 and thats enough for us, best offer secures! thanks joy
