cheers for your help hopefully they found it and weren't too peeved at being called out

Without doubt highly hazardous trees- well spotted.

You should never feel bad about calling in a dangerous tree when you know what you're talking about. Don't want to sound melodramatic, but you might save a life.

trust you bolam! there is always an element of truth even in jest, once its logged and observed it has to be dealt with.

we should always be mindfull of this, we observe and basicaly hand out the death sentence the minute we make such observations. Sometimes, in very rare circumstances its justified. as it is in this case.

Our tree officer doesn't manage the trees. It's down to the parks here. Who don't use any management programmes, I called in a beech I spotted with merip at a park and now they have a small compound next to it for building works!

Will have to check it out although i reckon they prob did one along the same rd which was stone dead, no pics unfortunately. Have spotted a real corker along the a339 though with some merip going on at the base, if i carry on at this rate do you reckon i should invoice or will they give me some sort of finders fee lol (or tell me to get a job and a life lol)

If it isnt a silly question, what happens to the timber from these, does the contractor just remove, or is it left for the landowner?

BTW, I thought I recognized that area, looking at your location I see why! They are within walking distance of me (well, some are closer than others).
