Pump fuel in the UK can legally contain up to 5% ethanol without any labelling or warning as such. this 5% limit will stay untill at least 2013. This is when they will consider 10% ethanol being introduced.

Arbogrunt, Please say it isn't so!, I just read that yin's have ethanol mixed with your fuel stocks?. I can understand how Stupid the American public can be to allow it but you have it over your way too?

Got it working again, took a while for engine to dry out, but working like a dream now. Brum brum.

Thank God for that! just ploughed through 8-9 entertaining pages of all and sundry giving you some good (and some not so helpful advice!), well done, I was really impressed at how much everyone wanted to help, I had a Husky for my first saw and loved how easy it was to start and use, should be a doddle from now on, just be safe!

Well done, perhaps a learning curve you'd prefer not to do, but at least you were honest enough to admit your error & I see you have obtained some PPE.

In my previous career as an instructor in the RN nuclear school, I used to say there was no such thing as a stupid question...

Take care
