So sad to end a life so unnecessarily. Condolences to all concerned.

 

Is it about time that the educationalists focused on the full picture rather than getting kids thro the door and out rather than longer courses, placements and work experience?

should do away with the 12 week course, because thats just simpley not long enough to learn properly.

 

also short courses should be only be allowed to be attended by students that are employed by certified arborists.

theres nothing wrong with the 12 week courses, the 1 week, probabally yes.

just a terrible accident, accidents happen, sad fact of life

If they are being instructed by ex students with little or no "real world" experience it not on!

 

If I was a family member of one of these young lads I would want them trained by someone with many years of on the job real experience!
