Yes got a template off the internet. The supermarkets are selling carving kits for about £2.50 with a book of patterns included. You get a couple of little saws like

coping saw blades and a scraper to remove the flesh.

I'll post the pattern I used, there's a great one online if you look for it of a drunk pumpkin puking all its seeds out:biggrin:

I forgot to add, it's not that difficult when using those little saw blades.

It was pierced right through, I've not tried the paring back technique yet, but I'm off to get some pumpkins today so will have to give it a go.

Now those are what you need for the major size petrol roll burners!!!

The puking pumpkin, gunshot wound to head and the petrol fired pumpkins all come from the same site. check out extremepumpkins.com

If you want to carve really big one, these two are still available (collection only PR4 6 area)...

 

I don't even want to think about how many portions of pumpkin soup you'd be left with after wittling one of them monsters...

These were done by Simon McMinnis from Blackpool last weekend for the Mere Brow Giant Pumpkin Show. He is carving a 400lb pumpkin live 9am - 5pm at Barton Grange garden Centre this Saturday if anyone is passing...
