Fiskars wood splitting axe Swansea

I've got a 4 ton horizontal log splitter. Question is, would I be better off with one of these?

Yes.

Also faster especially if you put a tyre on your splitting block.

But you do have to swing an axe rather than pull a lever.

bobh - you've mentioned tyres a couple of times - I'm new - could you explain please?

Screw an old car tyre to the top of your splitting block, saves you having to chase the part split logs around.

I would keep my block further away from the building than this bloke so I could just walk around the splitting block.

been using my new fiskars over the last week, its amazing. i got mine from amazon.com too also got the sharpener with is foolproof, now i just need the hatchet for kindling...

That hatchet is lethal, I cut a finger with it last week and I only just touched it. Great bit of kit though and looks cool too.
