Mike, no difference between 1000 and 1200 apart from turbo giving extra power = good.

In all honesty, a 100hp mog to turn a chipper is pretty puny. For what a mog will cost, why not buy a decent tractor?

There are a couple of reasons,first I will try and register it as an ag vehicle here in Norway,hard to do if it carries passangers,almost impossible if it carries passangers and has a turbo.I don't think the extra HP that a turbo provides compensates for the extra running costs of having it listed as a Truck.

 

I considered buying a unit like a Mercedes MB trac,they have high road speed and great turning circle.Alas I would have to have a truck to carry the Crew ,so again no advantage.

To some people they are great to others they are over priced metal. Just depends on your circumstances and work type I guess.

 

We chose a mog because it was right for us, we allready had a PTO chipper and nothing other than a heavy duty 4x4 can get into our yard in the wet

Might y'all not be money ahead to do some proper road work to your drive, then be able to use a less costly vehicle?

My yard track is nearly 1/2 mile long through a semi-mature pine plantation then opens up into a 2 acre cleared area.

 

I could never afford to lay even a cheap track and hard stand area Burnham. Probably cost around $60,000 !

Its got to better for security too, stop the pikeys in their tranny's gettin in!
