How to insure forwarders unimogs etc

I was just wondering how you insure the vehicles as i dont have a clue where to start.

Any advice would be helpful

I don't have a forwarder, but I have quite an extensive policy with Lycetts and they are very good, as well as being the cheapest by far.

Nfu in my experience are crap, I called again for a quote for vehicle insurance 6 weeks ago and they were ringing me back, guess what, still waiting. Waste of time, I have been with trust for 8 years and where there might be cheaper they do have great customer service.

we're with nfu, but have a policy which costs £20,000/year so they do give us good service. Its a shame they don't do the same with smaller, perhaps single machine policy's and give as good customer service. I wouldn't change but can see that other companys do better in some instances!!!!!!

I have found out that the nfu in my local town are just an agent for them. I find it strange that they don't seem to want my custom, I have a vehicle, public and employers liability, chipper, 2 trailers and a yard/barn, tractor and processor all of which are insured, they could have had all my custom if only they had taken the time to call me back.

Hodge, i've got to agree with you, its a real shame they didn't get back to you. Thats how they work the nfu, franchised agents, means u have a direct line to a real normal human being and if needed a desk to go and stand infront!!!

how strange , i have my mog insured with NFU and can not faut them , even to the pint that they call me 2 weeks before im due to renew my policy etc .
