we sell dry and well seasoned at £60 a small trailer load

I have started this season selling bulk bags at £60 delivered

i sell 100 - 120 a load depending where i have to travel for cut and split hardwood. 1.5 tons

 

50-60 a load for unsplit hardwood.

 

soft wood i sell un-split for about 30 -40

.

 

if i have a big job i can make another 300-400 cash if i sell the wood ( not bad )

Was selling cut and split average 10-12" logs for £120 per 10.5x6.5' level Transit load. Getting so many queries I've had to refuse new customers.

 

Packed in Granny logs as well. Too much time and waste. Price increase methinks.

 

Anyone else noticed how more and more customers want to keep the wood when you take down anything decent now?

 

How much can I charge for a nice green Willow/Poplar/Leylandii mix?

Pro log suppliers are charging £180 for a level tranny load, supposedley seasoned.

At the end of the day it comes down to overall fuel price rises.

 

It must therefore affect firewood prices due to the fuel used to process.

 

Although i did have a customer the other day say "Oh, i bet you guys are all jumping on the band wagon, now utility bills and the price of coal are going through the roof"!

fully agree.

we work dam hard and provide a good service and are professionals not just doing it for beer money.

 

when anything breaks down it all comes out of the profits as does the maint, its all oil prices though.
