dead ash fell

had this easy job for this afternoons job, would have made a great tree to leave for habitat, but council gave the owner 2weeks notice to have it felled.

 

had loads of massive brackets all round the base of the tree.

 

 

had the tractor on it because it was weighted backwards onto the road and neighbours house aswell as powerlines. always good to make sure.

 

job was to fell it in the field and leave :biggrin:

 

was interesting to see where the hinge is the whole stump split in half all way from the cut into the ground.

not a dig at all, but why not throwline to set the pull rope

 

just cause i wanted to make sure it was on some solidish timber and i wanted it on the back limb, then through the front folk and to tractor. by time you have done that from the ground it took me 14mins to climb up and set it all up climbing it :thumbup1:
