... it will garauntee best performance and longevity of the saw.

:thumbup1:

Not to mention the longevity of the saw operator, who won't have to breathe in all the solvents and carcinogenic additives of classic fuel/oil mix.

Thanks alot for all the speedy responses! I reckon my mind is made up now.

Perhaps its a little bit cheeky to ask, but are the good people at aspen still offering reduced carriage rates to first time buyers?

I think i remember reading about someone who said running aspen made their exhaust fumes smell like a chippy. Thats a big part of my motivation

Maybe they were running used chip fat oil on their chain and hence no horrible emissions from the fuel they were able to smell chips!

Look on http://www.find-aspen.co.uk for your nearest aspen stockist or drop me a pm if no one is close so that we can find you an alternative source or as a last resort we can supply you direct.

any way you learn something new every day , just a shame down in cornwall thee is no one selling aspen

Eh? Surely Cornwall is not as remote as Mars! :confused1: I would have thought that even from Cornwall you could order Aspen by letter; telephone or internet and then have it delivered by post; courier or transportation logistics company?

Or are you implying that if you can't walk into a store at the end of your street and purchase the item over the counter, then you're not interested? :001_rolleyes:

No im implying that because we use roughly 80 - 100 litres of fuel a week i am not to keen on ordering it in from somwhere up the line and having to pay carrage on it just to get it here , if there was somewhere in cornwall then i would look into it . however there is not anyone as far as i am aware so im not . simples !

If you'rreusing that much fuel then you could order a pallet load of 250l (around this amount) and it's free delivery so you wouldn't have to pay carriage.

And if there is no one in Cornwall you could set yourself up as a dealer and (albeit the margins are small) make a little money back to pay for the increase in fuel cost.

If storage is the issue Aspen were doing these discounted containers at £108-00 + vat
