Quite a hairy one to do,I have had them down with a winch,& used a truck too,a truck does give you the potential for a faster line speed which in my opinion can be desirable sometimes.:001_smile:

Trees rarely need a 'pull'. If the cuts are perfect and the holding wood is sound, the energy in a tensioned rope is more often than not enough to get the tree going. Trucks come in handy for side leaners where there is the possibility of the tree breaking the hinge and snapping off sideways. By this time the tree should already be on its way though and just need some gentle encouragement to keep going. If you snap a rope pulling a tree you've done a lot more wrong than just choose the wrong instrument for pulling with

Have often used my Maverick to tension/pull trees, and that is only plated for 2800kg :001_smile:

It does have added ballast to help with the tugging Felix!:001_tongue::biggrin:
