I dred to think what would happen if the climber disturbed a wasp's nest

I have struggled over the years to find a groundy that doesnt put chain oil in the fuel tank or send up the silky when you asked for the 066 :laugh1:

The only hand signal I use are .........

Pointing at My eye for watch Me

Tap on the Hard hat for heads up

And tweak My nipple with my thumb and finger for Milk and 2 sugars

Standard Hand Signals for Crane Operation

heres a link to hands signals for crane workers. us version. Could we not have something similar?

I think there should be set hand signals for developed for tree work in uk and taught in colleges.

Have you ever had the pleasure of a college fresh recruit?

You will be lucky if the remember their hat let alone anything else, still at least they can text you to ask what the signal meant, well perhaps not all students but definitely some

ground crews i work with regularly and my own know pretty much what i want as i want it, th eonly signal i need is th eone to turn off the saws/chipper which i think is pretty universal anyway. However i guess we could start using Eastern europeangroundsmen if we get some good hand signals worked out which could increase profits a fair bit...So crack on!:001_tt2:

I use a few basic ones, makes sense to have a couple for safety,Felix the chopper often gives me a hand signal, but its not realy tree work related,& I probably deserve it !:thumbup1:

Ah, i think you have mistaken my 'Nescafe special blend and roast' sign, meaning coffee up, for something else entirely
