Thinking of getting one of these. My only reservation is that as the snap is located on the end of the rope, does it get in the way when working close to your anchor point??? I suppose you could shorten it with some kind of knot but that would make more problems with retreival???? any feedback appreciated

iv got the 1.25m pully saver, it is good but i wouldnt buy another one. This might just be me but there are a few problems iv had that i wouldnt expect from a product this expensive especially when i could make something very similar for significantly less. The problems iv had is with the retrieval clip thing, i climb on a 13mm line so the clip wouldnt actually fit over the line, so i had to thread it through (not a big deal) but then because its quite tight the clip got pulled up in to the pully, jamming it in that direction, also had taken the paint off the pully wheel. The other thing was the eye or loop wasnt stiff enough so would tend to pinch the pully, this made it a nightmare to get down from the tree.

To fix these problems, and it has worked, was to clip a mallion on the the snap and run the rope through that, it has the weight to keep it hanging down and not get drawn in to the pully, the other thing with the eye, to make it stiffer iv cut a peice of hose pipe to about 5 inches long and split it down the middle, then taped it over the top. This is very low tec but works lol.

Like i say i do like the product, just think that a company like teufelberger would have sorted these things.

Has any one had any similar problems?

Essay over :)

The spliced eye does catch on that mallion.

Also i put a pic of what the snap did to to the pilly wheel, not that bad but still not good

hope this helps

Cheers for that mate, my pulley wheels the same due to the snap pulling into it. Think I'll add a small million as you have done.
