What's on your bench today?

Hi Spud, 254xp carb now sorted but when about to replace it I was moving the flywheel and felt a weird "rock over" action at TDC. Whipped off the pot to find the small end bearing like a willy in a shirtsleeve. Haven't taken piston off yet but assuming it's just the bearing at fault, where do I get one. Can't find any on the net. Cheers in advance....

Make sure you're gonna use PPE if you plan to use it on that trampoline.

Here's my ported 2177 running rakers at about .055 on an 18" bar in seasoned maple.

All necessary PPE was worn, how else was I going to spear cut those high branches!?

254 ported, base gasket off, muffler modded, tried to turn it over and it refused to do a full revolution, plug out and the piston crown touches the cylinder roof! Cylinder back off, base gasket reinstalled, sorted! Kicked it over to make sure it works, fine! So went to tune it, put 15" .325 bar and chain on (55cc, so seems reasonable assumption), wrong, 3/8 rim fitted and it's a standard 7 spline rim.

Yup, the squish is tight on those saws - not much you can take off!

Wasn't expecting it to be THAT tight! But I suppose it's ideal if you want a super high compression saw without skimming the cylinder

I don't believe it! It's spat a circlip out! Twice in one week! Both were these god damn VEC pistons that tesgol has substituted for meteor pistons... Hopefully it hasn't gouged the cylinder
