Not quite sure yet, pic is from underneath the saw, crankcase is smashed with bits coming out...

Couple of months ago my 660 went bang and sounded like a bag of nails as it ground to a halt. Opened top up and i had to wash the piston out of the crankcase in tiny little bits. New piston and pot kit (was looking bit oval with scoring) and has now been running fine for 2 months.

i did one of those beauties a while back - somehow the flywheel key managed to fall out itself!

Don't you just love those plasticine recoils too. Nice green though.

Is that a re-badged husqvarna?

I bought a very cheap huskie 395xp the other day which looks identical but for the colour!

New problem with my contra/090 project, it has destroyed the new starter ring, anyone else wishing to convert a contra, 1, don't up the compression with a liquid base, 2, always use the decompression button, 3, check the ring quite often! I have been told that decomp buttons save the starter, but on newer models (and much smaller) the engine isn't really a problem to pull over, obviously if its a massive stonking engine and a metal-on-metal friction design, this is very important

Yep sorry people. Leave you in suspense and all.

The saw wasn't running right due to a blunt chain. I started it in the workshop and it went lovely.

So just a sharpen and it was all good.
