Do you also get 300 people a week telling you the grass is growing!,we seem to be getting rather a lot of that this year

They all seem to think that its only their grass that grows, and that we don't realise that.

The other favorite reply when we say the mower may be a week or 10days, is " thats no good, my grass will be knee high by then"

Maybe they are very short people.

Maybe they have a high nitrate feed?

This is why homeowners should have mowers serviced in early spring

There's a market there for mower hire. Then again, if someone can't look after their own mower, what chance for one they've hired? Maybe you could sell them the idea of the saw-pro approach but instead of a main saw and backup, get them to buy a second mower. That way they needn't be afraid of the scary grass touching their turn-ups or designer jeans.

On a different quote:

"I've only used it twice, it can't be blunt."

Were they talking of the chain or referring to their brain?

And the bent bar supposedly being bent at point of sale. Those made me chuckle.

I worked for decades without one of these, now I can't manage without it.

Spud would not need one, but Rich should get one. Any ideas what it is guys?

Its a stainless lolly stick carefuly bent and crafted at one end:blushing:

Seriously I use a screwdriver for opening paint cans:001_rolleyes:

I stir my tea with a spoon:001_rolleyes: we do that up here:lol:

I have no problem with taking a poo - no need to weedle it out with one of these:001_tt2:

No idea and I think you are right - I can't see a practical use for one in what I do:thumbup:

Hahaha spud.

Here is the non saw side of tools. A nice rotovator that I got in late last night. The handle was wobbling around, tightened up the nut and new split pin.

The clutch cable arm next to the clutch was loose. Locktite and pinched it up. Works perfectly.

Just got to strip the tynes and get ready for the new set.
