Ok mike. The problem is from mine and gardenkits point of view is if its someone else's saw. We couldn't send it back like that without sorting the flywheel or a very stern warning to the "customer" first.

You could try the coil out with this flywheel but head the warnings over it coming apart. Prolonged use will cause serious damage.

Sorry no help on parts from my end either.

Happy hunting. Richard.

Sound advice Rich (& co.) - will be acted upon. A flywheel will turn up I'm sure.

Mike

New arrival - dies at idle -only started the repair late last night - so carb off and being cleaned. Was totally rammed with oily dust UNDER the air filter!

Looking at that orange vent pipe I can see there's something metal screw-like in the pipe - does that look right - is it in the right place? will it affect performance?

I'm also noting that even if idle speed screw is screwed fully in the throttle plate barely moves so there's little if any mechanical adjustment - could that mean that the throttle cable is attached to the wrong hole in the cam'd adjuster mechanism?

It only seems to start if i pull it over with throttle trigger depressed.

I had one of those a short while ago. The metal bit in pipe I removed. If you follow pipe at other end is where it joins. Look around there as the metal bit I had broke off the end, its the pipe joiner.

I removed it and had to fix the pipe back on the other end.
