Thanks Rich, I priced up the one used on the cut off saws, but really wasn't going to justify it based on the few I do. I'd be interested to see the plate you've made if you get the chance to post a pic.

 

This is how i blank off the inlet manifolds on TS410. Simple and effective 2 bits of plate and a piece of 3mm rubber. Could all be made from 1 piece of plate but i didnt have any wide enough when i was making it.

I have a Makita DCS 340 from the late 1990s with the starter cord hanging out. I've got the nut off the flywheel but can't see how to get the flywheel off to get to the starter pulley behind. There doesn't seem to be any room to get a puller around it? Help!!!! :001_smile:

 

Wedge a screwdriver between the crankcase and flywheel and belt the end of the crankshaft with a mallet:thumbup:

not sure, and apparantly not knowing and asking to find out is annoying....
