I think Wisecobandid may be from the US where the Nova unit is more available!

Both the Nova and Meco electronic units are easily available in the UK.

 

the Nova retails at £16.21 plus vat and the Meco unit at £13.14 plus vat.

More questions haha. This time a little project in the shape of an early 024 i dug out of my bosses shed. I have a few 026 bits at home so basically wondered if the carb from the 26 would fit in ? If i was to swap the top cover of the carb to allow space. Also have a muffler that i was thinking of gutting out to go with it should give it a bit more poke ?

It must be this new stihl thing. There are more husky saws coming in than I thought and a lot quicker.

 

Husky 351, this one is a senior customer who has no need for the saw anymore as he is too past it to use it anymore.

 

He has asked for a clean up and sharpen, with a service. He then wants to sell the saw on. Asked me if I knew what its worth. And I have no idea. I know what it's worth to me but not as a general sale. Anyone give me any numbers?

 

And the hedge cutter behind it is in, runs for a bit then dies out. Will then run with choke or fuel added into carb. So first up is clean out.

 

Oh and a mount field mower with a frayed OPC cable. One on order.

Just had a look at the IPL. The 024 used either a WT426 or a WT110 carb.

The 026 used a WT426 as well as several others, so I would think they will all interchange, Give it a try, if it fits and all linkages, pipes etc are in the same place it will be OK.

That's roughly what its worth to me as it will probably never get used. Either that or sent to spud for a little bit of a face lift

 

The hedgecutter was nice and simple. Would run for a bit then stop. Wouldn't run on full throttle. Opened up the carb and the meter valve was low. Checked and reset. All good.

 

Yeah the iPad camera is rubbish for close ups.
