That MS200T, Rich.

Its possible that the coil is breaking down and the spark intensity is not sufficient to get a start at tickover on a normal air/fuel ratio.

Just possible... maybe???

Beat me to it - yep - just about all that's left now! COIL

Unless of course Rich is hallucinating and the saw is running fine - in which case we need pharmaceutical expertise - you do that too Spud? Or try the mechanical route and a ported temporal lobe?

It really does only leave the piston now.

All parts have been tested or replaced with new. Carb, impulse, boot, coil, plug, bearings, seals, handle, tank, fuel line, breather, in fact the only original part on it now is the pull start, clutch cover, drum, and crank case/oil tank......

Well I'm back to some sort of short circuit that is 'repaired' when the choke is pulled out - I've never done one of those saws but if it's like some others I've seen the kill mechanism is not a milion miles away from other levers.

I also had a carb/air filter cover that was squashing wire and causing a short.

Also wondering about wire layout/problems in the throttle / trigger /handle.

I put it down to incompetence:lol: I would call a Priest in to exorcise it, it has been taken over by the devil and needs cleansing:lol:

Got one with the same symptoms on my bench at the moment - a carb clean should sort it:thumbup:
