Got an FS480 which just died today. Was running at full throtle then just lost all power and compression at about 1/2 a tank. There is compression but you can turn it with your little finger. I think it might be a cracked piston or maybe a blown crankseal. Couldnt hear any whistling as it compressed or went on a cycle. Yet another brushcutter to the dealer.

there ent no load on a blower so would not make to much diffrence

and spud i dont need no logo on the bar

just some go faster strips

 

would get it up to speed abit quicker tho and should run abit faster haha

this is spuds 357 i machined the base of the pot and done the pop up piston spud done all the hard work putting it back together and porting it

im happy hes got it running SWEET :thumbup::thumbup:

and it ent even run in yet

Pulling the flywheel and splitting the crankcase on a very neglected stihl 026. Last pic there was a folded up plastic bag in the oil tank,

 

Novel way of splitting the crankcase, always a loathsome job, are you sure that plastic bag isn't some sort of tank sealer - bit of a strange one!
