Started my new job today, back to tree work and fixing saws, so today's list as follows,: 2x ms200t rebuilds, just waiting on some c1q s32 carbs, servicing and testing an 088, 066, ms660 (running very lean), 394xp, stripped down another 200t that seized, then starter repair on my 051, some parts arrived from stihl that I was owed for the brake assy, and fitted a AV guard for the wrap handles, tomorrow I'll retune it before deciding if a new piston is in order

Still on my bench is this 026, Steve and Barrie suggested getting the proper parts (genuine 1s) putting it back together and turning the drive with a small screwdriver.... Done that and still tight, it turns but it's really tight, I'm near tears :( so am thinking its a duff clutch? Picked up three blowers recently, two runners....well sort of. Decided to strip one to make a runner and whilst apart, gave it a port and muffler mod. The muffler mod was just running a 10mm drill up the outlet pipe, the porting was widening the inlet and outlet ports.

 

Not sure what these blowers are supposed to pull at the top end (BG85) but I am getting fourstroking at 9,200rpm :thumbup:

All I can suggest is to find out why it is binding - is the seal sitting proud of it's seat?

 

Is there anything missing like the big round spacer/washer that sometimes sits behind the clutch?

 

I've checked and checked the diagrams and I've got all the parts and on the correct way, that's why I was thinking the clutch was binding it up. Thanks again

I got a bg55 blower in at the mo Spud, giving me grief flooding etc, cleaned the carb twice, set the needle height and still it persist. Ordered a full carb diaphragm kit now. The only thing I haven't ventured into yet is pulling out the ally core plug thing in the carb (forgotten the proper name...) its an oval shape rather than the conventional round dome ones and haven't got one in my box of carb spares but will come in the full carb kit.

Apparently Stihl in there wisdom decided to stick them in with an araldite substance that breaks up so im hoping its an issue under there.

Bloody zama carbs once again.....
