Vermeer SC252 problems

I have a Vermeer SC252 grinder. Should be a great grinder but for a long time when it gets hot it is gutless and locks up and stalls when getting throught the stump. The grinder has to be re started 3 or 4 times per ave stump. REally really frustrating as it should be really powerful and easy. In fact I have a feeling it is gutless even when cold.

Any ideas???

Do you mean that the cutter head jams and stalls the engine ?

Yes. It get a lot worse when hot. I just feel it's gut less. Had the engine serviced and the head is spinning at the correct rpm so don't know what the crack is. I have used one before and it was great but mine is soo frustrating.

Help

Thank

The belt tension is good. I have thought I might be pushing it too hard so backed off and it just bogs and stalls. I have thought about the auto sweep and have a feeling that I may need a new control box if that's the case. Expensive but might be worth the frustration it's causing. It's totally putting me off grinding when it should be a nice change from climbing dragging and chipping.
