Why is there no money in it at that???? Just up your log prices:sneaky2: I dont mean to be funny but do you see the oil tycoons worry about price they supply fuel exactly the same as we do, everyone needs firewood it's just very few have the balls to set a realistic price and make a profit rather than tick over breaking even or worse still making a loss. I know theres always old Jim down the village does his few loads for beer money but hes normally sold out by november:001_rolleyes: My landlords brother works for a very large timber enterprise and he's just sold 7 artic loads @ £67t and sold them within a day.

I get £35 a tonne for arb timber, its in 12' to 14' lengths, mixed hard most is way to big for a processor, some is over 3' thick.

That from my yard, so they pay the haulage.

has anybody any idea how coal prices are compared with this time last year??

its fine to suggest that you 'just up your log price'......... :sneaky2: still need to remain competative thou:001_tt2:

Roughly speaking coal up 15%-20% People with wood burners want wood not coal If you speak to any wood burner installation person ask how busy they are:thumbup1:
