looking through threads trying to find out what the minimum diamiter rope i can get away with on my lanyard, using xtc rope with pulley wheel setup atm, waht do you lads recon is the lightest option thinking off a 10mm rope with a 8mm prussic or even a mechanical device, want to be able to use it as a second little climbing rope like a prussic if that makes sense, trying to get the lightest setup possible out there

thanks

i'm using 10mm ocean p with rope grab as a strop but if you want it as a secondary climbing/lanyard then i would say 11.5mm tachyon has to be one of the lightest ropes with 8/10mm ocean p as the friction device.

10 mm min diameter for climbing lines and lanyards, as recommended by the AA guide to good climbing practice.

I use liros 10mm with a cinch, as you can choke the end off and use it set srt style.

Not as good as a hitch on 11mm plus line.

However I have yet to find a hitch that works well on 10mm line, in both doubled and single line applications.

So at the moment, its the best there is.
