luckily for me the place where I store my logs is in the middle of a place that's locked up every night. there's no chance of anyone getting in at all. If i'm there at dusk soon I'll post some pics:001_smile:

When i was yound and stupid, I made my own alarm mine for my van side door, it was dissing to fire out a squash ball. I set it off once and lost the squash ball, so to seal it off against moisture getting into the cartridge gunpowder I stuffed a small plastic carrier bag into the bore, the door got stuck one day and forgetting about the device I yanked open the door and got shot from 1 ft away with a carrier bag. It blew a hole in my t shirt, put me on my knees and bruised my ribs quite badly

Alway remember when setting up devices, that you may forget they are there

Oh...and once I bent over a large silver birch, with a rope loop to it has a man trap expecting to find a poacher hanging upside down by his legs the next day, but the gamekeeper lost his bottle and disarmed it

Shutter speed is always slower at night unless the scene is well lit, so movement will appear blurred, just look how clear the reg plate is

the Bushnell looks good but has anyone had experience of systems that send you a text or email alert if the camera is triggered. were they hardwired, wifi or mobile phone based?

there have been a couple of thefts locally so its time to take some precautions.

i like the camera idea. i also plan to put up a sign:

"THIS YARD IS GOVERNED BY SHARIA LAW"

hopefully that will have the desired effect:001_smile:
