We got new landrover at work and its had over 6k worth of warrenty work done jon, its only done 7k miles lol

I,m curious/panic as to what has gone wrong with your one. I bought a new 110 county station wagon 6 weeks ago to replace our last one which was a 2004 TD5. Must admit not a big landrover fan but it did come into its own last winter and it did hold it second hand value when it came to trading in. Was there anything major - so far the only thing thats happened to ours was the back passenger quarter light window dropped down into the door and had to be jammed into position until the dealer got the right bit to sort it. Having said that I think there is only about 1500 miles on it so far.

Actually looks similar to the revamped Toyota land Cruiser that was introduced a few years ago.

I think Land Rover should go back to their routes and offer a bog standard, very basic Defender with a huge options list. The down side would be the build quality is still bad and they would charge an arm and a leg for each option.

HI gareth the new land rover engine is out nov this year mate with a 2.2 but if at the dealers all the time it no good for me like my last xs 90 was 8 weeks old and was a the dealers 6 time with 900 miles on it the gear box was getting very hot:thumbdown: in the end it went jon

Land Rover should leave the body and redesign the whole chassis/gearbox/axles etc.

Put all the traction control, terrain response, abs, air con, electronic transfer case, electric handbrake that are in my D3 in it. They are all practical solutions which make the work day more comfy.

I owned a defender for 3 years and it was a great truck and did exactly what I expected but the Discovery is a nicer place to sit and generally better for what I want.

In short. I want a TDV8 90 Defender with all the goodies, that does not leak and has loads of sound deadening and some proper seats. Oh, and costs <30k.

I can hope.

That follows - Worrying - I'd heard there was a transmission/clutch problem with the model I have, giving bother if they had to pull heavy loads regularily.
