hi lux mileage

how many miles do you reckon a hi lux is good for?bought one with iffy milage,just checked on dvla and its 245000!drives real nice though.

probaly 246000:laugh1:,depends on its past life & how well it was serviced ,has it any history ,normaly very good engines

not sure its of any use but i have an old S reg Mazda B2500 that has done 250,000 miles and if it was not for my useless father crashing it into another of my trucks then it would still be being used daily .

I looked at a w reg one it had 465,000 miles drove sweet but needed a new drivers seat.

it was owned by hi line(utility arb company)till 2009 so i assume it was wellmaintained till then at least,slight rattle from thrust bearing,few knocks on body work, but seems fine

Im on my 5th hilux (diesel 4x4) i take them to around 260,000 miles and they are still running like a gold watch when i sell them. Change the oil and oil filter every 5,000 miles, air filter and diesel filter annually, grease props every 10.000 miles . 245000 miles is high and unless you know the history , look elsewhere because when they go wrong the parts can be expensive.

mine has done 17200 and run a1 ,a fried has one with 26o on the clock the non turbo ones are bomb proof
