Just have the legs on their max outreach ie on the last peg hole on the knee joint and only lift the tracks off the floor as much as you need. 6 inch is enough. Do that and it's bomb proof

holy ****!i removed a silver birch last week that was one big ball of ivy,lucky we had a 12" chipper,left the stems of ivy for firewood
