Is anyone else worrying like me?

Orders going nuts, can't keep up with the felling and worrying like hell that i'm going to run out of seasoned before december this year. And once you supply green hardwood or mix in s/w my customers don't come back!

That's exactly what's happening. But I'm not worrying about it; what can that do apart from cloud ones judgement and focus on doing ones best in the circs. I am mega down on hardwood, yard's fillled with softwood so planning to sell the s/w at a happy medium deal but it remains that h/w won't really be dry enough in time...

At least i'm not the only one. like you i have plenty of wood just can't get it dry enough in time. need more ash coppice but some wise forester here planted it all with douglas and scots!!! the heating oil price hasn't come down this summer so my customers are double or triple ordering.

I'm in the same boat, but i,ve been speaking to a lad today who as a massive and i mean massive stock of chopped logs that he is willing to sell wholesale at a price i can't even get close to, so if i start to run short i will get a bulk tipper into his yard and fill it up. If i had found this lad before i wouldn't of bought in any cord this year.
