Toprotter, I commend your effort. I believe you will be successful. Might I suggest sitting down and roughly calculate how much $$$ you will save from not smoking and start a fund. Use this for what ever you wish other than going back to smoking, and really enjoy yourself.

By making this decision you will be starting a long and difficult journey, but you will adapt and overcome. This is the first 1.5 days + or - of the rest of your smoke free life.

All the best.

A day does not pass with out desperately wanting the smoke.

It just gets easier to refuse the urge as each day passes.

Hope you beat the smokey devil into submission!

I seriously quit 9 yrs ago and it is the best thing to happen to us.

Increase vigor, Increase money, harder lead in the pencil, better thought process etcetera!!!

I am already noticing the benefits of quitting, breathing more easily, more energy, more stamina and a new-found will to live amongst others. I weakened slightly on Saturday pm, really gasping for a ciggie, but put paid to that with a few throws of the tomahawk!! Damnable weed has caused me enough grief.

I gave up nearly two & a half years ago, was doing 30-40 a day and had been for 31 years, I had tried loads of times before and the longest I managed was eight months, in the end I decided I couldn't keep putting my family through the huge mood swings I had whenever I gave up so decided not to bother, then a friend who had given up for 5 years suggestd I read this Allen Carr's Easy Way to Stop Smoking so I did and it has totally changed the way I looked at smoking and I have never wanted to smoke since and I never really had any mood swings either, best money I have ever spent.
