I dont get it if the people on this forum saw a bloke using a chainsaw wrong you would all go ballistic h/s ppe injure himself this rule that rule , but here we have a plonker who should not be allowed on the road with a load like that , who's load could slip from the trailer under heavy braking , and kill other road uses you turn a blind eye sorry fellas i dont get it

, just very unsecure, however in gear with the brake on it wouldn;t be th end of the world if no crazy driving was involved.

Would you think it was the end of the world if this guy wiped out your entire family Billy ?

Weight is not my concern in this instance, just the securing of a 2.5 ton lump of metal. He effectively didn't secure it at all.

The roads in this area are very steep, fast, winding hills.

He may as well not have bothered with the ratchet strap at all, it was doing nothing but cause wind resistance :001_smile:

Effectively he had transported the dumper a long distance, unsecured.

I have had to recover vehicles from multiple fatality accidents, caused by just this

if the dumper was in gear and handbrake on and the one strap tight id say that would be fine. Has anyone ever had a strap work its self loose?

It doesn't need to work itself loose for the load to come off sideways

im saying the strap in our picture could of started its journey tight

if you look at the ratchet strap it is not secured correctly , the hook end has not been placed on securly with the hook , but on the loop of the hook I have seen these part under stress as some only have a small weld to hold them together and the cheap ones nothing but the metal bend to hold them together.
