I drive a transit everyday it's always over loaded, I've had logs up to the ladder rack, I even once had my Ifor tt105 full of Chip on the back too, only a short distance mine.

I dont have. 7.5 tonne licences nor the finances to run one,

Just get a job done not fanny about the who and if

By the looks of your website seems like you've made the big time and can afford to run trucks, don't mean you can get on your pedestal and judge those who are a few years behind you.

I wouldn't say I've made the big time......

I'm not judging anyone just asking the question..

What a man drives should have no relevance on his standard of tree work, if they wheel barrowed it home to be chewed by by angry terriers into a recyclable wood chip like product they should still pass the aa test as long as there tree work is good and there not fly tipping it.

I'm not normally the arguey forum who has a small winkey and something to prove to make himself feel better but I've sent all week trying to get mountains of paper work in order for things all of which is bureaucracy and no relevance to tree work. Personally all I want to do is climb trees and look awesome

Just small word of advice, don't tell the ministry "ever" that you run overloaded even in jest, as they have spies everywhere and fines can run into thousands even for small infringements, ignorance is no excuse!

Large businesses have been making life difficult for the small man for years. Just look at supermarkets and corner shops. Unfortunately after thatchers idea of starting lots of small businesses successive governments have not been so supportive. Its alot easier to keep tabs on people if they are paye. One weapon large companies have locked onto is the whole health and safety rubbish complimented with accredition. If you have a whole office full of managers and chiefs you can print of pages of bull and buy the right certificates. A small business needs to pay the mortgage and buy the road tax. I often find large companies onsite with lots of paper work loads of chiefs but no indians so the performance on site is poor. The other tool they make use of is get small contractor to do the work go bust and start next day buy all the kit back for next to nothing. This has been going on for ten years and is getting beyond the joke.
