The Timberland chainsaw gloves are poor. They're very comfy though but not hard wearing. I wrecked them in a 1 month long felling project. They just fell apart.

 

I've been using the new Arbortec expert chainsaw gloves at the moment and they are amazing. Very good fit, very comfy and after having them for a few months quite hard wearing.

Down to personal preferance man, i was taught at college with the silly little guides, but free hand is so much easier imo, plus you can just ram the file down the side of a husky fuel can or in your logging belt.

 

 

mehhh high lifts are too expensive and they dont last too long

 

 

plastic wedges suck too, get some big old steel ones and you'll be away

i have been using the Arbortec gloves for the last month or 2, i dont use them much because i am usually climbing but i would say they have had about 1 to 2 weeks use and they are in pieces:thumbdown: all holes and the stiching is now falling apart so i wouldnt say they were any good either. Fact is that chainsaw gloves cost a lot and are real good when new but they just dont last long and thats every make i have tried

Sounds like choosing a pair of good gloves is a night mare. Might just get a cheap pair for my course and see how I get on

io have just bought a pair of timberland glooves and they seem comfy but they dont look that tough, i also have a pair of the cheapo arbortec gloves and they are lasting very well.
