working on these are always a pain in the a*$e! Nothing is ever simple and there always seems to be one bolt that just won't give! :mad1: Trying to remove and replace a steering box. Has anyone on here any experience in this?

I haven't lifted a spanner to a truck in 8 years, best bit of advice my father in-law gave me was buy new vehicles if you can....

Just in case you're replacing the box because that pipe that runs down the outside of the box and back in at the bottom has split / corroded. Don't. Mine went a while back and they said you had to buy a new box, very expensive. Just take the pipe to somwhere that mot's trucks, its made of the same stuff as some 7.5 tonner brake pipes, they can just make one up.

i have bought the box now left me very light:sad:in the wallet. but i will look at the pipe. the problem really is the flipping bolts are stupidly tight thats with an air gun and a breaking bar and scaffold used on them aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhh!!!!:scared1:
