cheap fire wood set up?

Well, I do most of my splitting with a maul, and the key to that is to get the work at the right height. My chopping block is 2' diameter by 2'8" high oak-which looks too high, until you start to use it. That suits me, and I'm 6' tall. Also, I've put a net up to keep stuff on the block, rather than having to bend down all the time. Sounds simple, but for those who can't justify a splitter, it really makes a difference to your back .

i help a freind who has been a firewood merchant for years his set is a processor pto driven a big vertical splitter agian pto driven and a honda powered horizontal splinter.

He mixes the loads with cord and rings has a pick and tipping atlas trailer at the hight of the heating season there be four of us in the yard going hell for leather works like a dream but he has a massive custmer base regulaurs and all that.

just braught this dilapidated heap for the pricley sum of £300........

its not as bad as it looks i hope!!! used to belong to a friend who died and has been sitting for 7 years but ran nice before...hopfully a new battery and it will go ,but i cant move it out of it current location as the only way out is through a barley field and the bloody weather means it aint gonna be harvested untill we get a dry spell...

next door is gona lend me his log splitter for as long as i need it if i fix the hydrolic hoses........log splittingf hear we come!

not to bad.... new battery ,exhaust ,oil change, front tyres and a clean and it runs not to bad,apart from i was using a high crack log splitter wich damaged the pto engage on the tractor,ive been told i can run fit a return hydraulic valve on too the breather and run a splitter off the hydraulics.

The engine hydraulics and the linkage all work fine just the pto is not in great shape!.
