Cheers for the reply's guys, I would live to buy one but we have only just started out and don't really have the cash, second hand ones seem to go for near rrp price most of the time too! Wanted to hire one too see what they are like and how mucb we could get through in a week of so! Thanks again ash

Compared to what I have seen and moderated on other forums that is no more than mild teasing !!. I am sure you get the point that processors are expensive and frankly dangerous to the unskilled. As such most wont hire out but will process timber for you.

Start with your local hire shops they wont have one but will find someone who does. Problem with hire a processor out is you could get a few hundred pounds a week in hire when it comes back u need to spend 4k to get it working again.

 

Know the feeling. Hired mine out in Jan and accidentally bent the bed. £750 for a new bed and still the guy has not paid for the hire. Certainly destroyed my faith in people will be cash up front in future. I only hire my machine out with operator and then only 25 mile radius of Bolton.
