I think all he was asking was if someone has had an early finish and they are local would the fancy chipping a bit of brash for a few quid.

I appreciate that the very experenced guys on here would have no time to do this kind of thing and their time is worth more..... but there are also people just starting out with their first chipper and £50 is worth a look on the way home :001_smile:

If no one is intrested then dont worry, he was only seeing if someone had the time and the means and im sure if you turned up and said you can do it for 60 he would say yes poor guy even said he would do the chipping while you watch! or earning 50 quid while you eat your lunch on a saturday afternoon:thumbup:

Enough winding people up.

Lets change the subject.

My mum's tv picture isn't very clear.

Would any tv engineers who are are passing with their ladder and toolbox like to call in and sort it out for her?

Would only take an hour, and there's a tenner in it for you.

Discuss. :001_tongue::lol::lol::lol:

SOME people ARE getting at me. I don't care, but I will stand my ground, but I don't think that makes me akward. I didn't start this thread to learn anything about the business, or be patronised. But, SOME people have taken it upon themselves to do just that.

It wasn't meant to be a discussion, Stihl vs Husky etc, it was simple offer of a little work for cash.

Seriously, what is wrong with some of you? Why do some people have to flex their 'experience muscles' on forums? Who are you trying to impress? This is great forum with loads of great info and interesting discussions. But some of BS that people rant at others is almost beyond belief.

Will someone just mention the Nazis so this thread can end?

Oh, there we go!

You have a serious problem with perception, both of what others are saying, and of what others think of you.

I also think that you have undermined any level of respect for yourself by that rather inane and immature final comment.

My comments about experience are NOTHING to do with flexing muscles, ganging up on you, impressing anybody or anything else. It had got to the stage in the discussion that nothing anybody said that you did not agree with was seen by you as anything but getting at you. I was only using those terms in order that you may have understood why people were disagreeing with your ungrounded belief that an hours chipping is only worth £50.

And where do you get off, with zero practical knowledge of the subject, accusing those with knowledge of it, of talking BS.

This is a discussion forum. Just because no-one has jumped at the chance of doing your job you say their comments are BS!!!:thumbdown:

Grow up.
