I bumped into a bloke at work who kept saying he was starting up some forum about trees, Arbchat or summat like that. Dunno what happened to his big idea, cant see it working out, I mean who wants to talk about tree stuff all night?

Hi Steve,

I got an email from you, presumably you got my address from that old site thats gone done the swanny! I find Arbtalk really good and a mine of usefull information I don't post as much as I'd like as being new to the industry I don't always understand what you lads are on about!

Someone in the trade told me, I said I would give it ago. Later, sat in front of the screen in the office I rang Nigel who said "Yeh, type in FREEWORKER.COM", I did and Yep, it was a porn site. How he laughed as I panicked trying to get rid of and delete history before being discovered!!!

i got the link from tree buzz. tree buzz is good but its too american for me, hardly ever posted not enought british stuff on there.

treebuzz is one of the best sites for sure, learnt loads from there, but you're right, a lot of the political side of tree work is just irrelevant and i think that stops a lot of british tree surgeons contributing.....that what my primary reason for starting arbtalk!

theres loads of good stuff on there but they have different kit and different trees and it just not british old chap.

From the "good bye brits" thread at da'house :)

I like this place allot, the work you brits do is more up to the tree work in Sweden where I live, so as far as for learning stuff this is the best site for me !!!

Good job Steve !!

Came here from Treehouse too. Don't say much on either site though, as i'm only a part-timer and don't climb. But enjoy the banter even if i don't join in and learn plenty from the experts.
