I cant believe that only 28 people have shown an interest in the Arborist listing site Steve is ofering to put together. Come on lads and lasses- Arbtalk comes up first on nearly every imaginable tree related search on google. The publicity that could be gained from the use of this listing will be fantastic, and for the price that it's being offered at, it's a no-brainer. So come on you lot, let's make it work. That thread has had over 820 views as of 6.15pm on saturday:thumbup1:, yet only 28 positive replies.

 

This is mega cheap, ultra effective advertising.

I really think this directory needs our support. With this and checkatrade (I not aware of any others, sorry) public awareness of the professional side of our industry will improve and help to highlight and widen the gap between pros and cowboys/gypos.

 

Just look at plumbers and Gas Safe status.

 

I realise there will always be scum bag traders but the more we can do to improve the publics perception of us and what we do, the better and easier life will become for us and the harder it will become for the 'sub standard' contractors.

Yes i would subscribe so long as i could be sure people would see it near the top of listings ( one for the computer techs ) and at a competetive price . I guess public would google tree surgeon in .....(south lincs ) not "arborist" in ....... good idea bring it on

Just to clarify....the thread about the directory it was comes up 3rd, the directory itself will be a little bit more of a challenge, but it's giving an example of the Arbtalk traffic which will hopefully make up a large proportion of the leads to the directory
