I've always used Stihl Hedge cutters, both short arm and long reach would anyone recommend a cheaper alternative?

Personally if it aint broke dont fix it fella, cheaper alternatives may cost you in the long run.

Have a look at Hedge cutters | F R Jones and Son weve got some cracking prices on stihl hedgecutters:thumbup1:

Good luck with ya search fella

I have Kawasaki hedgetrimmers which i brought new off a company on Ebay, I paid £315 for a new, double sided long reach two years ago and it has been execellant, never let me down and very clean cuttting, same for their brushcutters. would defo buy one over a stihl, bit lighter too, important when your holding the thing for hours on end.

My mates just got one of those 4-mix Stihl long reaches. I tried it out for a couple of hours, and it made me so glad that I opted for the Echo. The vibes on that thing were terrible, the spluttery pick-up on the revs wound me up, and the balance is all wrong. Horrible machine.
