I've just ordered mine today. I did order from the Titan Pro site over the weekend but they no longer stock them, so I ordered mine for £231 plus £8 postage including VAT from Garden Machinery Direct. As you say Chris, only a 12 inch bar option but I'll see how that fares before ordering something smaller.

That picture shows a totally different saw though doesn't it?

 

The one Ty's looking at is the bigger version of the 270es (so like a back handled top handle)

Yes there numbering system is plain daft.

 

The WES models seem to differ from the ES models?

 

So this is the model I was looking at:

Which seems to have a new model here:

[30011-english]CS-360WES | ECHO global

 

But is not the same model as this one:

[30014-english]CS-352ES | ECHO global

 

The 351/360 model seems to have pretty good power to weight? Anyone had a go with one?

First day out with the little back handle Echo pruning young oak and singling out elm and sycamore clumps.

 

Very positive overall - so so much lighter than the 346xp (4.1kg versus 6.8kg fully fueled) and perfect for pruning. Slightly higher vibrations than I'm used to, but the tiny weight means I'm far less fatigued at the end of the day than with the 346.

 

Couple of funny quirks - came set with the idle far to high and you can turn up the oiler to the point that it empties the oil tank 10 minutes before the fuel runs out.

 

I would certainly recommend it!

Given the higher RRP of the stihl, is it that much better than the echo?

ms150 was a nice saw, very light slightly quicker in the cut and bit better anti vibs but its about £180 more expensive!!! so it depends on how often your using it

 

agree with Chris I would like to get a go on a 543xp but this isnt going to be in this class of saw.
